Property Testing

چکیده
Given the ability to perform (local) queries concerning a particular object (e.g., a function, or a graph), the task is to determine whether the object has a predetermined (global) property (e.g., linearity or bipartiteness), or is far from having the property. The task should be performed by inspecting only a small (possibly randomly selected) part of the whole object, where a small probability of failure is allowed.[2]

Strain and Damage Sensing Property of Self-compacting Concrete Reinforced with Carbon Fibers
Present paper investigated the strain and damage sensing property on concrete cubes embedded with carbon fibers. Concrete cubes of dimension 150 mm have been casted with different concentration of carbon fibers to study the strain and damage sensing property under cyclic loading that can be further used for health monitoring as non-destructive testing (NDT) approach. All the specimens were test...
متن کاملProperty Testing of Massively Parametrized Problems - A Survey
We survey here property testing results for the so called ’massively parametrized’ model (or problems). This paper is based on a survey talk gave at the workshop on property testing, Beijing, Jan 2010.
متن کاملRamifications and related topics
In some setting objects that are close to having the property may be almost as good for these settings as objects that have the property (e.g., see some of the settings discussed in Section [intro:benefits]). But in such a case, when testing for the property, it may be desirable not to reject objects that are very close to having the property (or, put differently, “tolerate” a small deviation)....
متن کاملThe Classi cation Problem in Relational Property Testing
In property testing, we desire to distinguish between objects that have a given property and objects that are far from the property by examining only a small, randomly selected portion of the objects. Property testing arose in the study of formal verication, however much of the recent work has been focused on testing graph properties. In this thesis we introduce a generalization of property tes...
متن کاملA Brief Introduction to Property Testing
This short article provides a brief description of the main issues that underly the study of property testing. It is meant to serve as a general introduction to a collection of surveys and extended abstracts that cover various specific subareas and research directions in property
متن کاملAbstract Combinatorial Programs and Efficient Property Testers
COMBINATORIAL PROGRAMS AND EFFICIENT PROPERTY TESTERS∗ ARTUR CZUMAJ† AND CHRISTIAN SOHLER‡ Abstract. Property testing is a relaxation of classical decision problems which aims at distinguishing between functions having a predetermined property and functions being far from any function having the property. In this paper we present a novel framework for analyzing property testing algorithms. Our ...
